SNV_Image_091.jpgThe Swiss Association for Standardization (SNV) is Switzerland’s umbrella organisation for standardization. It promotes the drafting and international harmonisation of standards. It directly represents the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) based in Brussels and ISO, the global standards organisation headquartered in Geneva. SNV’s main assignment is to draft and harmonise national and international standards. In a nutshell: SNV paves the way for standards!

In Switzerland SNV operates as a hub affiliated to numerous national and international standardization networks. As a state-of-the-art service provider, it distributes information on the significance, benefits and practical implementation of regulations and standards in force. SNV acts for the benefit of Swiss business and society.

SNV holds the secretariat of 22 technical committees and subcommittees and the convenorship of 36 working groups in ISO and 11 technical committees and subcommittees and the convenorship of 25 working groups in CEN.
